On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, there’s no telling where the Christian pop band Casting Crowns might perform. “Last week we were in California, New Hampshire and New York. It goes all over the place,” said band member Melodee DeVevo during a telephone interview from her home earlier this month. DeVevo plays violin and sings in the seven-member group.

      I think it is so cool that the members of Casting Crowns continue to serve their local church among their huge success in the Christian music world. They are an inspiration to me so often. If they can be apart from home every week and still minister and work to build the local Kingdom of God, I certainly can do my part at my church.
