It’s been a long time since Crystal Gayle sang “Don’t it Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” The song, which topped country and pop music charts in 1977, made her a superstar. Her songs topped country charts through the mid-1980s. Since then, she’s continued making albums and special projects for smaller labels, including a new project for the “We Praise! Worship in Song” series. Gayle sings the lead vocals on a series of worship songs on a recently released DVD called “Traditional Worship.” The disc is intended for use in worship services or small groups and features lyrics displayed against a backdrop of scenic nature shots.
