Three decades ago, Matthew Ward and his sisters Annie and Nellie became “Jesus music” pioneers as the popular trio Second Chapter of Acts. Though they disbanded long ago, Ward still sings about his faith—a faith that was tested as a young child when he was orphaned, and again in the last decade as he has battled cancer.
