Mute Math drummer Darren King doesn’t look the wilderness-man part, with neat, close-cropped hair framing a baby face, but he shares something fundamental with famous one Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau moved into a cabin in the woods to cast off whatever he didn’t really need; King packed up a couple of bags and moved onto his band’s tour bus.  
 
‘’In all honesty, I don’t have any desire to be in any one place, I don’t feel pulled in any direction,'’ he says. ‘’I could stay on tour for a long time if only I could record albums that way. . . .
