The Aussie singer talks about her first album in five years, a return to her early styles. Usually self-titled albums are reserved for debut artists. Why did you go this route with your new album? Michelle Tumes: I had no idea that self-titled albums were reserved for debut artists. I went this route because the songs depict my relationship with God. Each song has a different theme with strong overtones of a journey as a Christian. My hope is that people listening will be able to connect their life stories with these songs.
